• But does this blog spark joy?

Sometime late last year, in September or October, my site went down. A week or so later, I managed to get my host to fix it. Then it went down again. It was in the midst of my exams so I didn’t put much focus on it. Once I was able to focus on getting my site back up, my host couldn’t help. To make a long story short, I changed hosts and put the site back up and it crashed/hacked again on the new host. I think the theme I was using caused it to get hacked because ever since I’ve changed themes my site has been fine. I…

  • Uitenhage coffee shop review: An afternoon at Agape Coffee Shop

When it comes to Uitenhage and having to describe the town and what I think. The motor industry first comes to mind and then, of course, coffee shops. The town has a number of cute and quaint coffee shops. Earlier this year a new Uitenhage coffee shop, opened for business and brought a fresh take to the area. The brainchild of Gerald and Sherri-Ann and Pieterson, Agape coffee shop is the new kid on the block, but already has so much to offer. The name Agape is a Christian reference, meaning or referring to the highest form of love. Agape is based on Christian principles and a glance at their…

  • Speaking to myself at the gym

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll know that this 2018 I’ve been attempting a weight loss journey. As with most people who have fitness/health/weight loss as one of their new year’s resolutions, January went fantastic. After that my journey kind of went downhill from there (the journey, not the weight, unfortunately). In the month of January, I lost 8.8kg. February when I began to struggle, and binge-eat carbs, I lost 2.1kg. March I lost control completely and gained all that I lost in Feb. Currently, my weight loss is hovering around 7kgs lost and honestly, I can’t let myself gain all of it back. I started off my…

Here’s the deal, you don’t have to be in love with someone else to be romantic (you could also be in love with life or yourself). One of the many meanings of being romantic is to have an idealised view of life. Here are South Africa’s most romantic cities as decided by me and some of the romantic spots for you to visit. Port Elizabeth Surely you’d expect me to put the ever so lovely and beautiful Port Elizabeth on this list. St George’s Park As I grow my…

  • A System Professionals and Salon Nouvo experience

Late last year I attended the Port Elizabeth media launch of System Professional hair products at Nouvo salon in Walmer. I also received a few products to try and I’ll review them at the end. System Professional products allow dull and limp hair to be reborn and feel like virgin hair. According to the brand, each individual has a hair energy profile that is as unique as our fingerprints (even if you’re a twin). So basically because each person has a different hair profile, different products will work for different people. The products work towards rebuilding your energy profile and this is done through an Energycode mapping. After the launch,…
