• Speaking to myself at the gym

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll know that this 2018 I’ve been attempting a weight loss journey. As with most people who have fitness/health/weight loss as one of their new year’s resolutions, January went fantastic. After that my journey kind of went downhill from there (the journey, not the weight, unfortunately). In the month of January, I lost 8.8kg. February when I began to struggle, and binge-eat carbs, I lost 2.1kg. March I lost control completely and gained all that I lost in Feb. Currently, my weight loss is hovering around 7kgs lost and honestly, I can’t let myself gain all of it back. I started off my…

  • South Africa’s most romantic cities (for single people)

A post on South Africa’s most romantic cities is probably not a post that you’d expect to read from a single blogger. Here’s the deal, you don’t have to be in love with someone else to be romantic (you could also be in love with life or yourself). One of the many meanings of being romantic is to have an idealised view of life. Here are South Africa’s most romantic cities as decided by me and some of the romantic spots for you to visit. So basically because each person has a different hair profile, different products will work for different people. The products work towards rebuilding your energy profile and this is done through an Energycode mapping. After the launch,…

Which I think is fantastic as people are working on their health and body goals. Some people might feel intimidated at the gym, actually I often still do. Mostly because I feel self-conscious at the gym. So here are a few tips that I use to be less self-conscious at the gym. Join a group class Group classes are fun, especially for people who don’t know what they’re doing (read me). Also, they’re generally really tough and if you’re feeling…

  • Paying my debts with Andy Stanley’s Enemies of the Heart

On Sunday 19 November 2017, whilst seated in 12 C on British Airways flight BA 6240 from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg, tears streamed down my face as I clutched onto my copy of Andy Stanley’s Enemies of the Heart: Breaking Free from the Emotions that Control You. The seat next to me was empty, and the man in the window seat was captured by the views outside. The man seated across the aisle from me had however noticed my tears and was visibly uncomfortable. I decided it would be best to stop reading Enemies of the Heart, I didn’t have the energy to explain to my co-workers why I was crying…
